Cotswold stone Pub near Stratford-upon-Avon and the Cotswolds
After more than ten years up in Yorkshire, Michael Herdman took early retirement, sold the hotel and shop, and with his wife, Marilyn has come back to be near family and friends in the Cotswolds.

Now in partnership with son Iain and daughter-in-law Alana, and with the help of the rest of the family, Lyndsey, Joanna and Ernie, they plan to turn The College Arms back into the proper pub this Cotswold village deserves.

The comfortable rooms have everything you would expect, and make an ideal touring base to stay for a night or several. They are all en-suite, though you may need to watch your head in some rooms.

A small price to pay, for the charm and hospitality The College Arms has to offer.

The bar is an old-fashioned village get-together room, with a log fire, darts, dominos and a quiz night in the Winter. A bar menu is on offer for those who don’t want to eat in the restaurant.

So come and have a look, you don’t know who you might meet.

The lounge and restaurant, with a flickering fire and candles in the evening is an ideal setting for a meal or just a chat with your friends. With views across to the village church and thatched cottages, make it a regular destination. Or, why not eat out in the walled garden on a warm night, with the scent of the honeysuckle and jasmine in the back ground.

And for weddings, christenings, funerals parties or just a get-together, ask for a quote for our private room with garden or the larger restaurant area.
